Joe,
Anyone who has watched you play in a pikes shirt for the past 3 years could not question your commitment for a second and would have appreciated that you are certainly not the kind of character to jump ship.
It seems that a decision was made that it was time for you to move on from the pikes. Everyone will have their own opinion on the rights and wrongs of what has happened and it is certainly not my place to give an opinion on the matter. However what I will say that every manager has to make tough decisions and I am sure this was not a decision that was made without a great deal of thought and deliberation.
You have been a great servant to the club and an excellent captain.
Good luck at Scarborough all the best and I hope everything goes well (apart from against the pikes)
